Excellence in Everything We Do
Our mission at Genesis Salon and Spa is to use our given talents to provide the best guest experience possible. We are a purpose-driven salon and we approach every situation with the end result in mind. We strive to create a work environment with a humble mentality, knowing we have the opportunity given to us every day to bring out the beauty in each of our guests. We believe success is a team effort and continuing education is necessary for future growth. We build careers fueled by passion and we are always committed to being better today than we were yesterday.
Genesis Salon first opened its doors in 2009. All of our dreams began in a 1,100 sq ft space, with only two shampoo bowls and eight chairs. DeAnna had a dream for her employees to share a common goal and to be a family oriented salon. She converted to Redken within her first year of being open and became a Summit Salon. Sarah started at Genesis in 2010 as a new, talented stylist out of cosmetology school. The two of them shared common ground with their beliefs and goals. Over the years, they attended every class they could get their hands on. From Summit seminars, classes at the Redken Exchange in NYC, Las Vegas Symposium, Redken Specialist and Master Specialist, and Redken Color Certified… they were determined to bring more to Mobile.
While they were busy growing themselves and their clientele, opportunity began knocking on the door of their hearts to begin a new season together. DeAnna asked Sarah to become a partner in 2017. With a newfound passion to succeed, their employees and new hires were attracted to the new culture of positivity and personal growth they had created. Flash forward through many blessings disguised as hardships, Genesis Salon and Spa now takes home in a 5,000 sq ft location with 16 chairs and eight shampoo bowls. Nestled right next door is the humble 1,100 sq ft space that started it all, a reminder to never forget where we came from. DeAnna and Sarah firmly believe that if you keep God first and follow your dreams, even though they may not always seem attainable, you cannot fail.
